Gary Neville responds to Klopp suggesting he has an opinion on everything
Gary Neville has responded after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp suggested the former Manchester United defender has an opinion on everything.
Klopp said last month that the only thing he had learned from lockdown was that Neville was happy to voice his views about anything.
‘I didn’t learn a lot during lockdown except Gary Neville has an opinion on absolutely everything!’ Klopp said while speaking to BBC’s Football Focus. ‘It’s incredible!’
Neville has appeared on Sky Sports’ Football Show three times a week from 10am to 12pm since it was launched in April.
Speaking to Joe.co.uk, Neville said: ‘The fact that Jurgen’s recognised it means that either he’s been watching which is good, it’s bugged him which is good or he’s enjoyed my opinions which is good.’
Neville also said that he had no problem with Klopp, adding that he only appears outspoken because he – as well as Jamie Carragher – is asked so many questions.
He said: ‘There’s no ruse here but what I would say is that doing these shows three times a week for two hours… I’ve enjoyed it but it just feels like you’re constantly giving an opinion on everything you’re asked.
‘The reality is I’m glad football’s restarting because we can concentrate on giving comment on football matches.
‘But he’s right and I know you Carra feel the same because you’re talking constantly every single day about football and there was nothing happening so you’re just offering opinion on the same stuff.’
