Mother brought her three daughters for vaginity test see how the doctor conduct the test.🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️😂😂

1. The wife that wins all arguments with her husband is not wise. The home is not a law court.

2. The wife that uses sex as a weapon in the home – placing embargo, going to bed in jeans shorts and trousers – lacks wisdom.

3. The wife that uses the modern trends and laws of “women’s rights” to insult or ridicule her husband simply makes a fool of herself.

4. A woman that makes her home devoid of peace through bickering, nagging and quarrels needs help. A man should be eager to run away from office to be at home, for that should be the safest and coziest place on earth for him.

5. Modern-day equality in marriage does not mean competition. It simply means partnership. Taking advantage of such equality to turn around and become the de facto head of the home and oppress the man is tantamount to playing with fire. If you destroy your home, soon you will be the boss of an empty home.

6. A wise wife makes the man feel so good that he assumes that he is the head. Once he gets that feeling, the woman gently wields her power and the head actually turns to wherever the neck wants without a protest.

7. A wife that does not pull herself away from friends’ influence and advice or even from the control of her mother and father will have herself to blame.

8. When a man is looking for a wife, he bypasses women of different shapes and sizes to choose a wife. But soon after childbirth, many women hide under the excuse of childbirth to let go of themselves. Many stop bothering about their looks, shape, dressing, etc. Within 5 years of marriage, people start wondering if the wife is the man’s aunt, even though she is 7 years younger. Her defense is that if he truly loves her, he should love her the way she is. But when looking for a wife, he saw people like the present YOU and ignored them and settled for the former YOU. Today, you go to bed smelling of onions and pap. You go to bed wearing grandmothers’ clothes. Why are you playing with your marriage? Love is not about looks – we know. But looks enhance love and marriage. There is a difference between someone disfiguring herself and the person being disfigured by an accident. Please don’t be complacent. As hard as it may be, work on looking like you were when he first saw you and began the chase.

9. If every night you are tired, sleepy, sore, down with headache or fever, “not in the mood,” you are a joker, a serious comedian!

10. If your children suddenly become more important to you than your husband, you need prayers.

11. If you assume that as the woman, only you need to be pampered and fussed over while the man is a stone that has no emotions, you need to be pitied.

12. A woman that has the mind of a wife does not excite her husband. Wives are usually complacent and presumptuous. A wife must strive to have the mind of a girlfriend. A girlfriend is always nicer, sweeter, more loving and always thinking of ways to wow her sweetheart; a girlfriend does not try to win all arguments, does not call the man a “useless man”, is not careless about her looks or dressing, always smiles and laughs with the man, sends the man sweet messages and calls, etc. Are you your husband’s girlfriend in word and in deed?

13. When you rely on your beauty, cookings, character, connections and bedroom performance alone to keep your man and your home intact without putting God in the picture, you’ve missed it. Without GOD, it cannot be GOOD.

Put God first in your home, and keep Pride aside.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk says the Premier League champions face “challenging times” because “everyone wants to see you fall”.

The Netherlands centre-back played a key role as the Reds ended a 30-year wait for a league title last season.

In an exclusive interview with Eddie Hearn’s ‘No Passion No Point’ podcast, Van Dijk discussed racism, matches without fans and defending the title.

“I think trying to stay at the top is the hardest thing to do,” he said.

The 29-year-old told Hearn in episode one of the second season of his BBC Sounds podcast: “Everyone wants to see you fall when you reach the top. That is what life is about, especially these days.

“For me I want to give everything I have got until I retire and then have no regrets after.

“I don’t want any regrets afterwards, I think that would be the worst feeling you can have. It is going to be challenging times coming up. We are champions – something that took a while. We should enjoy the moment and go for it.”

‘I miss the away-day boos’ Hearn’s podcast – which featured the likes of singer Noel Gallagher and footballer Wayne Rooney in season one – aims to explore the mindset of people successful in their field.

Van Dijk tells the boxing promoter how he places importance on setting short-term goals and has done since he failed to break into the first team in his teenage years at boyhood club Willem II.

At the time he earned money away from football as a part-time dishwasher and admits he was “struggling” to secure a career in the game until he began to accomplish the small targets he had set himself, and duly earned moves to Groningen, Celtic and Southampton.

Since joining Liverpool for £75m in 2017 he has finished as runner-up in the Champions League in 2017-18 and Premier League in 2018-19, before winning each competition the following season.

He is now chasing his goals in the strange surroundings of empty stadiums because of the coronavirus pandemic and admits he “found it very difficult” to adjust at first.

“The fans can play a massive part in difficult times during games and also at good times in games,” explained Van Dijk.

“When you concede the fans will lift you and when you score they make the opponent go further away from you.

“It’s the same case for everyone, but for us in particular everyone knows how difficult it is to play at Anfield with the fans behind us. Hopefully things can change as soon as possible because we need fans.

“It lifts our performances at home but when you play away and the home fans turn against you – I like that. It gives you that motivation sometimes to do better. It’s something I definitely enjoy and that I miss.”

‘Chase dreams and don’t give up’ Van Dijk’s advice for those chasing goals in any field:

“You need a bit of luck but apart from that it’s about hard work. Commit yourself to your goals. You have to believe in yourself – if you don’t then no one will.

“Set short-term goals. You can have dreams and never stop dreaming as things are always possible. Enjoy the ride, the lows, the ups and the negative side as they can make you who you are.

“I have gone through many things in life but it made me who I am today. Give everything you have got, believe in yourself and never give up.”

How I murdered my Student.

I was in class that fateful Friday afternoon teaching my students when she raised her hand to ask a question.

I permitted her and she asked a rather too simple question that I supposed she should know the answer.

I had already covered that topic the previous week. ” Will you sit down there! With your Ugly face! Olodo!” was the only answer I gave her.

The whole class bursted into laughter and she looked embarrassed.

I went on with my lesson but felt somewhat guilty over what I had said.

I finished my class and left. On Sunday, I went to Church. The preacher was talking about the tongue and its power.

He spoke about how you could bring others down by what you say.

I remembered what happened on Friday and became guilty. I swore I was going to apologize to her on Monday when I got to the class.

On Monday afternoon, I went to the class but I didn’t see her. I asked after her from her coursemates but they didn’t seem to know who I was talking about.

I then said I was looking for the person I insulted on Friday. “Oh, that’s Joy Sir!

She is not in class today” they answered. Who is her friend? I asked. “Aisha” they chorused.

But Aisha was not in the class either. Suddenly, a girl with Hijab walked in. “That’s Aisha Sir” my students informed me.

Where is your friend? I asked her. “Which one?” She replied without looking at my face. Joy! I said.

The reply shocked me! She is in the mortuary Sir. Mortuary????? Doing what there?? I asked “She died on Friday Sir” Aisha replied.

How come?????? I later found out that after my class on Friday, Joy was hit by a fast moving vehicle.

She was crossing the road absentmindedly probably because of what I said.

” Her burial is on Saturday and you are invited Sir” Aisha continued.

As I stood trying to overcome the shock, Aisha said admist tears ” you killed my friend Sir”. She was right! I should be the murderer!

Some girls in the class were already crying! I didn’t know what to say, whether to apologize to Joy’s friend or Joy’s ghost.

I submitted my resignation letter the next day.

Dear Lecturers and Teachers, please stop insulting your student.

They are in school to learn from you. If they already know, they won’t be in school!

The Bible says that Life and Death lies in the tongue. Proverbs 18:21.

Please mind what you say to other people. Are your words bringing life or death to the hearers?

Let’s be very mindful of how we address one another. Thank you.

“I Took Part in 2012 Demonstration Against Fuel Price Hikes Because God asked Me To Do So” -PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE WARNS

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Church on Thursday 1st October warned Nigerians to stop dragging him into national conversation, saying they should stop counting on him to always speak for the masses.

The Lagos-based preacher said he took part in a 2012 demonstration against fuel price hikes because he was asked to do so by God.

“I did not campaign against subsidy,” Mr. Bakare said at a virtual conference organised by Poju Oyemade to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day. “I campaigned against oppression of the masses.”

Mr. Bakare said he had concluded the assignment that God sent him in 2012, and other Nigerians should feel free to stage their own protest rather than asking him to always be a voice against societal ills.

“Is it written anywhere that when there are issues in Nigeria Bakare must protest?

Dad wind down the glass to see Jake
“What can I do for you, son?”he asks

He smiles
“Wanna kidnap someone”he says

He moves to my side and pull me out then carry me inside his car and drives off

He arrived at his mother’s tomb and he kneels down
“Hi mom and it been a long years you’ve left this wicked world but I still missed you,Rachel is been giving life imprisonment while Peter commit suicide in the cell cos of too much hatred and anger in him,may he be forgiven …
And today,I brings to you the girl I love which you already knew and even tells her to take care of me,she really do try her best and today I bring her as my future wife to be so help me beg and ask her(he says and turn to me), that ‘will she marry me’?”he asks and bring out a ring💍

I smiles

I look down at him as he kneels down
“From the moment I have seeing you,my heart has leap for joy and tells me that you’re the one I want now and ever so I’m saying Yes”I said

He smiles
“Thanks for making me the one you want”he said and slides the ring in

The grave shook as an image like illusion moves out of the tomb

We move back and sigh
“What’s that?”we ask

The image turn to us as we gasps
“It’s me dear son and my darling Natalie,I’m so happy you make yourself one still today and I think I’ve fulfil your wish, son to see me once with your own eyes so here I’m”Mrs Mark said

Jake dash towards her and magically enough,he hugs and touch her
“Mom”he said crying

I move to her too as she pulls me and hugs me too
“Thanks so much,Natalie”she said

She turn to him and cup his face
“You’ll always be my inestimable jewel and I wish I could stay with you ever but that’s not meant to be again so take care of each other now and this is my last request”she said as she float up

We look up at her as tears drop

He smiles
“I love you so much,Nat”he said cupping my face

I smiles brightly
“I love you so much,my one”I said

Just like magic,I walks inside the church dress in white gown💒👸👰 and flower in my hands💐

Everyone turn to my side as I walk in elegantly and I look forward to see Jake dress so handsomely in a red and white suit with Andy bro standing at his back

My sis,Kath help me in rolling my long longest wedding gown as we walk inside

By the right is my dear parents and families as they smiles happily toward me

And by my left is my dear husband to be’s family and they wave at me with total joy

Tears drop from my eyes cos finally in the long run after much fighting and standing for love,I’m getting married to THE ONE I WANT

🍬Episode 27, 28🍬

Melody was so weak that she couldn’t believe that she sat there without answering any question at all. Amanda tried to decline the offer of representing the school so that it will look as if she’s not behind the happenings but she was told that no one else than her will represent the school as melody left heart broken knowing that she’s not representing the school anymore after all her efforts.
Henry didn’t understand what was happening to melody his great teacher that improved him in terms of studies, he promised to get to the root of the matter so that melody won’t be put to shame after all her efforts.

Amanda was preparing to go since school has closed for the day when Henry walked gently and slowly to her thus making her to be frightened whether he’s going to ask her about Melody’s poor performance during the competition but she was wrong.

“Amanda, are you set to go? Henry asked smiling

“And what do you mean by that? Are you blind? She replied rudely and wearing a straight face.

“Hey don’t take it that way na, can’t I ask you anything again? Amanda start to calm down just to hear him out.

“What do you have to say “?

“Good question, now you are talking”henry replied with his hands in Boston pockets and his eyes fixed on her lips.

“Amanda, I want us to be friends as never before please ” he said licking his lips and stairing at her. This is the kind of opportunity Amanda was looking for so long but she’s not sure whether Henry meant what he said so she started playing beer fingers looking down feeling shy to look at henry in the eyes. Henry walked to her and used his hand to lift up her face.

“I’ve heard you, but what about Melody? She asked just then Henry’s heart began beating as he think of the possible lie to say.

“Forget about her for now, let’s focus on herself. She’s nothing to me and we are all friends” he said and Amanda nodded her head though she knew that Henry was lying but she had to accept the fact and grab the opportunity that is before her.

“I’ve heard…… You “she stammered

“So what’s your response?” he asked

“Let me go and think about it first ”

“No, I want you to give me the reply now please, ” he said wearing a baby face.

“Okay. I’ve accepted “she answered

“Wow thank you Amanda I’m grateful for your response. I love you “he said as he hug her

“I Love you too Henry “she replied and hug him too as she enjoyed the moment praying that it last.

She left and wave to Henry before entering her car and zoom off. Henry regret ever telling Amanda “I love you ” but be had no other option than to do it that way. He entered his car and left too.

Henry got home and first thing he placed a call across to Amanda to hear whether she has reached home which she answered yes and she was excited that Henry is caring for her.

Melody got home looking so weak and teary, her legs were heavy for her as she thinks what she will tell her parents who prayed for her to succeed in the competition which she loosed but she later summoned the courage to tell them since the competition was cancelled but the painful part is just that she’s not the one to represent their school anymore.

Mrs Armstrong noticed that melody was so weak and moody as she walked to her in a motherly way and sat down.

“Melody what’s the problem? Why are you like this? She asked and melody burst out crying under her mom shoulder who consoled her to keep calm and tell her what’s the matter.

“Mom, I failed in the competition “she later said which got Mrs Armstrong surprised because that’s her first time ever I’m her life for her to hear that her daughter has failed any competition since she was in school. She had to console her first before asking her what really happened.
Melody took her time and explained everything to her mother who knew that what happened is not in a physical state but is a power that is trying to destroy her daughter academically as she contemplate on what to do.
She consoled her to keep that everything will be fine, as an old woman she later told melody to bring her books from inside which she obediently did.
Mrs Armstrong using her small knowledge asked melody some few questions from her books which she answered successfully and correctly thus drawing Mrs Armstrong to the conclusion that someone is behind her daughters failure and it’s one of the students that is not being choosen. Her thoughts was so far as she knew that it’s one of her daughters student that wants to take her daughters place in the competition to represent their school.

“Who did you compete with in your school before going to this one ” Mrs Armstrong asked

“We were there in number and we were in groups ”

“I mean who seems to answer questions brilliantly as you did, and who took the second position?

“Okay mom, her name is Amanda Patrick “she announced as Mrs Armstrong pondered on the name because it sounds familiar to her.

“You mean it’s the daughter of Mr Patrick the man that happens to hit me with his car?

“Exactly mom that’s her father. I’m talking about her daughter “melody answered wondering what could have made her mom asked such question.

“Don’t worry my child, God is in control. The God of the poor will see you through ”

“Amen ooooo mama thank you “melody replied and stood up heading to her room.

The next day in school so so boring to her as the event of the previous day started reflecting on her memory. Just as she was sitting thinking about her predicament she saw Henry and Amanda at the school garden laughing and enjoying themselves with snacks. She didn’t mind but seeing Amanda trying to feed Henry with the snacks alert her as she stood up walking to where they sat.

“Hi Henry ” she greeted

“Yeah melody whatsup? Henry asked still smiling as Amanda greeted melody too but she was jealous that melody distracted their sweet moment.

“Can we go to the cafeteria together please? Melody requested and Henry frowned instantly

“What does that suppose to mean? Are you blind, can’t you see I’m sitting with someone enjoying myself. By the way who are you to me? Henry asked and a sharp pain crossed Melody’s heart as if she’s being stabbed with a knife.

“Henry it’s me melody I…..

“And so what? Please don’t annoy me leave” Henry blurted out

“Henry don’t talk to her like that, she’s your girl “Amanda chipped in

“Hey don’t start your own, which girl are you talking about? Henry replied angrily as melody stood there with her heart frozen as she watched Henry reaction towards her as if it’s not the same Henry knew. Amanda stood up that instant trying to leave.

“Please I’m leaving attend to your girl ” Amanda said standing up trying to leave but Henry drag her back.

“Where are you heading to? Please melody it seems you are distracting us please leave. Okay if you want to know, I love Amanda not you so better leave us now” Henry blurted out. Amanda pretend as if she’s shocked hearing that for the first time so as to look as if she’s not snatching Melody’s boyfriend but deep down she was really happy that melody is feeling heartbroken and sad.
Melody legs were vibrating as she heard that, she was so furious whether to fight or leave. Her mom advice she gave her started repeating afresh in her memory as it kept repeating. “Be ware of the friendship you keep, you are too young to undergo emotional pains”

Melody ran out with tears in her eyes to the backyard of the jss1 bock crying her heart out.
Gladys who was returning from the cafeteria heard someone sniffing behind the block as she halted and decided to check only to find melody crying facing the wall which got her shocked thinking that it’s because of the competition she loosed that has made her start crying afresh not knowing that it’s Henry.

What’s happening??
What’s the meaning of Henry’s action?

(Journey to Success)

🍬Episode 28🍬

Gladys blood was boiling in anger immediately melody just told her what transpired between her and Henry. Melody tried to calm her down telling her that she’s fine but Gladys didn’t listen as he went in search of Henry.
Desmond on the other end who was in Amanda’s team saw that Amanda has achieved her own goal of making Henry her boyfriend and it’s his own turn now to approach melody because she’s emotionally weak to be taken easily. It was too hard for melody to bear seeing the Henry she so much trusted telling her that she’s nothing to him. But come to think of it why was he eyeing me secretly when he said that? Melody said in her mind but had no answer to the question as her mind was made up to focus on her education not to cry over s guy that pretended he loved her but she finds it difficult to move on.
Desmond exam was drawing closer, Desmond too was a cute guy who was starting to have fresh bears. He looked more handsome that afternoon morning as he approached melody who was sitting alone in the school garden pretending to be reading her books when her mind was very far from what she was doing.

“Hi melody “Desmond said with his hands in his pocket.

“Good afternoon senior Desmond ”

“Can I join you? He asked but melody only nod her head without saying anything as he sat down. Desmond discovered that melody was only looking at a blank space in the book she was holding without anything written in it.

“Melody! Melody! ” Desmond called the second time as she jerked from her thoughts and answered him.

“What’s wrong with you and why are you crying? Desmond asked

“Am I crying? She returned the question as she clean her eyes with her palm.

“Melody, I came to remind you that you have not given me an answer concerning what I told you that I want us to be friends “Desmond said out

“I’m sorry senior Desmond I can’t agree to your proposal.

“Melody why? I love you with the whole of my heart ” he said just then bringing back the sad memories for melody as she recalled that it was the same thing Henry told her the day he proposed to her too.

“I’m sorry senior I would have agreed, but my heart belongs to someone else “she said and Desmond felt disappointed

“Henry I guess “?he said and melody didn’t care to answer as she stood up feeling the pains in her heart, she ran out of him instantly and Desmond knew that she was in pain. Maybe something is wrong somewhere.
Desmond remembered that there’s a girl in their class dying for him just for him to love her back and give her the opportunity of becoming his girlfriend, why is he trying to force himself on someone who’s heart belongs to someone else? Why is he trying to destroy other people’s relationship just because of a mere girl called Amanda who he’s working with? Seeing melody in tears really touched his heart as he promised to give Esther a chance not to force himself on someone else.

Henry was having a nice time with Amanda his new love as they both keep calling each other on phone and discuss lengthly.
Henry made Amanda to promise him one thing which she did, as she promised him that she won’t hide any secret from him. Henry didn’t even care to call melody again since the day he started dating Amanda thus adding more salt to Melody’s wound.

The school closed and melody was about to go when Desmond approached her and stretched a piece of paper to her.

“What’s this? She asked

“Melody, I’ve noticed something and I’m not asking you for a date again. Let’s just be friends “Desmond said and there was sincerity in his eyes as melody looked deep into it.

“There’s someone out there that loves me back just as you love him too, I guess it’s high time I live her too” he said

“What’s in that paper? She asked

“It’s my number, we can talk on phone ”

“Sorry I don’t have a phone but we can be friends “she said.

Desmond drop down his head feeling disappointed as he tried to walk away.

“Fine let me have it” she said and collected the number from Desmond as he smiled and left.

Henry has been visiting Amanda in her house from time to time but without any form of sexual issues, they were now bond together as Amanda believed that this is true love that Henry is not going to harm her.

Days passed and still nothing changed concerning melody and Henry as Desmond kept calling her on phone to check on her. It was a tough time for her as both things happen to her but she had to face life and move on.

It was only two days left for the competition date as Amanda was preparing herself well for the competition without any form of distraction. She was so mean to represent her school as usual, Henry visited her that evening as he met her reading her books as usual but there’s something strange about Amanda room as he kept wondering what it is but later waved off the idea.

Desmond felt pity for melody because he later understand that it’s because of Amanda’s relationship with Henry that is giving her endless tears as he came to understand that melody truly loves Henry.
He decided to return to his normal senses and not to be used by anyone.

The day finally came for the competition as Amanda was preparing in her house for the competition without Henry by her side assuring her that she will be the winner.
Melody didn’t know whether to go to school or not as the thought of seeing Amanda taking her place haunt her but she later dressed up for school.
Desmond too was ready to witness the competition too, the sun shine brightly in the sky, the birds flew high up in the sky, the cool breeze began blowing gently as the compound of miles high school were filled with students from different schools and teachers from different schools too who were there to witness the great competition.

Soon the Corps siren began blowing from a distance signaling that the governor is on his way with his escorts for the competition. Soon he arrived the premises with tight security and team who trailed behind him as if he’s God. He was really pleased to see such a number of students who were present there as he waved his hand to them moving inside the hall.

Soon Mr Adams arrived the compound well dressed too as his conscience kept battling with him. He sighed melody from a far looking so weak and teary as if she will die any moment from now, he brought out his phone and send a call across to Mrs Hannah who arrived just immediately and to some of his staff who were there, just then Amanda arrived with Henry in his car. Mr Adams called melody who was standing outside near the hall as she approached then feeling embarrassed and frightened on what he has to say. He called on Amanda too who was looking expensively hot showing that she was fully ready to compete.

She walked down to where they stood without any of them knowing the glue of what Mr Adams is about to say not even Mrs Hannah nor her fellow staff. Time was really burning as Mr Adams cleared his throat and began.

“I called all of you out here for a reason, which is liable to what happened the previous day of this competition.

So I want to clearly state that I don’t want such thing repeat itself again today” he said and the words were useless to melody because she’s not the one to compete.

“So Miss Amanda Patrick I’m sorry to say this you are……..

He was being interrupted by the school bell that signalled that everyone should be in the hall for the start of the competition.
To be continued.

What is Mr Adams trying to do or say now?

What’s happening??

What does Mr Adams means by saying “Sorry Miss Amanda?

*Jurgen Klopp:*

“I have over 20 players for each match who are good enough and have earned the right to play. But rules mean I can only pick 11 to start each time. This is the hardest part of management when you are blessed to have such an incredible group of players.”

Fellow Nigerians,

I speak to you today as your President and fellow citizen on this epoch occasion of our country’s 60th independence Anniversary. As President, I wish to renew my appreciation to Nigerians for entrusting me with your hopes and aspirations for a better and greater Nigeria.

2. Today, it is my unique privilege to re-commit myself to the service of this great country of great people with profound diversities and opportunities. We are bound by destiny to be the largest and greatest black nation on earth.

3. At this stage in our nationhood it is important that we reflect how we got here to enable us work TOGETHER to get to where we aspire to be as a strong indivisible nation, united in hope and equal in opportunity.

4. On October 1st 1960 when Prime Minister Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa received the constitutional instruments symbolizing Nigeria’s independence, he expressed his wish that having acquired our rightful status as an independent sovereign nation, history would record that the building of our nation proceeded at the wisest pace.

5. This optimism was anchored on the peaceful planning, full and open consultation and harmonious cooperation with the different groups which culminated in Nigeria emerging as a country without bitterness and bloodshed.

6. Our founding fathers understood the imperative of structuring a National identity using the power of the state and worked towards unification of Nigerians in a politically stable and viable entity.

7. That philosophy guided the foundation that was laid for our young nation of 45 million people with an urban population of approximately 7million occupying an area of 910,768 square kilometers. These demographics led to development challenges for which major efforts were made to overcome.

8. Today, we grapple with multiple challenges with a population exceeding 200million occupying the same land mass but 52% residing in urban areas.

9. Sixty years of nationhood provides an opportunity to ask ourselves questions on the extent to which we have sustained the aspirations of our founding fathers. Where did we do the right things? Are we on course? If not where did we stray and how can we remedy and retrace our steps?

10. Upon attaining independence, Nigeria’s growth trajectory was anchored on policies and programmes that positively impacted on all sectors of the economy. However, this journey was cut short by the 30-months of civil war.

11. We came out of the civil war with a focus on reconstruction, rehabilitation and reconciliation that enabled the country to put in place world class development structures and a strengthened public service that well served the government. This positive trajectory continued with a return to democratic government which was truncated by another round of military rule.

12. For a cumulative 29 of our 60 years existence as a nation, we have been under military rule.

13. My summary of our journey so far as a nation is necessary to appropriately chart where we need to go and how to get there TOGETHER.

14. Today, I am aware that our economy along with every single economy in the world is in crisis. We still face security challenges in parts of the country, while our society suffers from a high loss of moral rectitude which is driven by unbridled craving for political control.

15. An underlying cause of most of the problems we have faced as a nation is our consistent harping on artificially contrived fault-lines that we have harboured and allowed unnecessarily to fester.

16. In addition, institutions such as civil service, police, the judiciary, the military all suffered from a general decline.

17. We need to begin a sincere process of national healing and this anniversary presents a genuine opportunity to eliminate old and outworn perceptions that are always put to test in the lie they always are.

18. The stereotype of thinking of ourselves as coming from one part of the country before seeing ourselves as Nigerians is a key starting point to project us on the road to our deserved nation’s evolution and integration.

19. To start this healing process, we are already blessed with the most important asset any nation requires for such – OUR PEOPLE – and this has manifested globally in the exploits of Nigerians in many fields.

20. It has been demonstrated time and time again that Nigerians in the diaspora frequently excel in science, technology, medicine, sports, arts and many other fields.

21. Similarly, the creativity, ingenuity and resourcefulness of the Nigerian at home have resulted in globally recognized endeavours.

22. I am convinced that if we pursue our aspirations TOGETHER we would be able to achieve whatever we desire. That informed our adopting the theme TOGETHER to mark this epochal event.

23. Together we can change our condition for the better and more importantly, together we can do much more for ourselves and for our country.

24. I chose the path of self-reflection because this is what I do on a daily basis and I must confess that at most times, I always felt the need for a collective reflection as I know that the foundation for a solid future which this administration is laying can only be sustainable if there is a collective commitment by Nigerians.

25. Nigeria is not a country for Mr. President, any ruling or opposition party but a country for all of us and we must play our part, irrespective of challenges we face, to make this country what we desire.

26. To achieve this, we must focus our minds, TOGETHER as a people, on ways of resolving the identified critical challenges that underlie our present state. These include:
a. Evolving and sustaining a democratic culture that leaves power in the hands of the people;
b. Supporting the enthronement of the rule of law, demanding accountability of elected representatives and contributing to good governance;
c. Increasing our commitment to peaceful co-existence in a peaceful, secure and united Nigeria;
d. Harnessing and Optimizing our tremendous human and natural resources to attain our goal of being in the top twenty economies of the world and in the process;
e. Lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years;
f. Strengthening institutions to make them stronger in protecting National Interests; and
g. Imbibing tolerance in diversity.

27. I am a firm believer in transparent, free, fair and credible elections as has been demonstrated during my period as a democratically elected President.

28. The recent build-up and eventual outcome of the Edo State elections should encourage Nigerians that it is my commitment to bequeath to this country processes and procedures that would guarantee that the people’s votes count.

29. The problems with our electoral process are mainly human induced as desperate desire for power leads to desperate attempts to gain power and office.

30. Democracy, the world over and as I am pursuing in Nigeria, recognizes the power of the people. However, if some constituencies choose to bargain off their power, they should be prepared for denial of their rights.

31. This call is made more urgent if we realise that even after a transparent, free, fair and credible election, desperation leads to compromising the judiciary to upturn legitimate decisions of the people.

32. It is necessary to, therefore support the enthronement of the rule of law by avoiding actions which compromise the judiciary.

33. Fellow Nigerians, our history has shown that we are a people that have the capacity to live peacefully with one another.

34. As a government, we remain committed to our constitutional oath of securing the lives and properties of the citizenry. I, however, call on the citizenry to also support government by providing the necessary community level intelligence in addressing these challenges.

35. In moving forward together, it is important to strengthen our economy to provide sustainable means of livelihood for as many Nigerians as possible so as to eradicate absolute poverty from our midst.

36. I want to re-emphasize my dedication and commitment, a dedication and commitment that propelled my public service career and informed my quest to continually seek for an opportunity to improve the lives of Nigerians, set the country on the path of prosperity and lead the country to a better future.

37. This administration has been focused on rebuilding and laying the foundations for a sustainable Nigeria. Of course, we have met and are still meeting the challenges inherent in any rebuilding initiative – more so that of a nation like Nigeria that has undergone avoidable levels of deprivation – but can be surmounted if we all work together.

38. I wish to re-iterate that our people and our spirit of excellence remains our most important asset.

39. In this wise, the need to return to our age-old ethical and high moral values would be necessary and this informed my launching of the National Ethics and Integrity Policy on Monday 28th September, 2020.

40. The policy would not implement itself and the first contact of the visibility of its implementation is the Public Service whose on-going reforms would be expected to be sustainable and give a radical re-direction in providing services to all Nigerians.

41. Fellow Nigerians, in addition to public health challenges of working to contain the spread of the Coronavirus, we have suffered a significant drop in our foreign exchange earnings and internal revenues due to 40 per cent drop in oil prices and steep drop in economic activities, leading to a 60 per cent drop in government revenue.

42. Our government is grappling with the dual challenge of saving lives and livelihoods in face of drastically reduced resources.

43. In this regard, sustaining the level of petroleum prices is no longer possible. The government, since coming into office has recognized the economic argument for adjusting the price of petroleum. But the social argument about the knock-on effect of any adjustment weighed heavily with the government.

44. Accordingly, in the last three years, we have introduced unprecedented measures in support of the economy and to the weakest members of our society in the shape of:
a. Tradermoni
b. Farmermoni
c. School Feeding Programme
d. Job creation efforts
e. Agricultural intervention programmes

45. No government in the past did what we are doing with such scarce resources. We have managed to keep things going in spite of the disproportionate spending on security. Those in the previous Governments from 1999 – 2015 who presided over the near destruction of the country have now the impudence to attempt to criticize our efforts.

46. In the circumstances, a responsible government must face realities and take tough decisions.

47. Petroleum prices in Nigeria are to be adjusted. We sell now at N161 per litre. A comparison with our neighbours will illustrate the point;

a. Chad which is an oil producing country charges N362 per litre
b. Niger, also an oil producing country sells 1 litre at N346.
c. In Ghana, another oil producing country, petroleum pump price is N326 per litre.

48. Further afield, Egypt charges N211 per litre. Saudi Arabia charges N168 per litre. It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia.

49. Fellow Nigerians, to achieve the great country we desire, we need to solidify our strength, increase our commitment and encourage ourselves to do that which is right and proper even when no one is watching.

50. Fellow Nigerians, let us collectively resolve to continue our journey beyond the sixty years on the clear understanding that as a nation we are greater together than being smaller units of nationalities. By the special grace of God we shall come through any transient challenges.

51. It is my sincere hope that by the end of this anniversary on September 30th 2021, we will all be proud of taking this individual and collective self-assessment for the progress of our great Nation.

Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

God Bless us all. Thank you.

Jose Mourinho : “It’s difficult to play against Manchester united. Am not saying they are a difficult team to play against, but it’s difficult because even after 90 minutes the Ref can call you from your dressing room and tell you that he has decided to give Manchester united a penalty so your Goalkeeper must dress again and go face Bruno Fernandes . You can only celebrate when you get home, because if you still around the stadium it’s possible they might get a penalty even at full time ”

The Champions League should NOT be played this season, says Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc

Champions League and Europa League matches are not safe to take place because of the high rate of coronavirus in some cities, claims Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc.

UEFA are set to make the group stage draws for both competitions on Thursday and Friday but Zorc has raised concerns about the risks to domestic football seasons if clubs are forced to travel to high-risk areas and then return with infected players or staff.

Earlier in the year, Atletico Madrid’s visit to play Liverpool at Anfield and Valencia’s trip to Milan to face Atalanta were blamed for causing mass outbreaks of Covid-19 in England, Spain and Italy. The latter game has even been described as a ‘biological bomb’.

Last season’s Champions League was completed with a series of one-off ties in Portugal while Germany hosted the latter stages of the Europa League, after the resumption of the season following lockdown.

UEFA also took steps to increase safety during qualification for this season’s competitions, with each tie played as a single-legged match hosted by one of the teams, decided by a draw, until the final play-off round.

There are also rules for the competition proper designed to ensure teams do not have to play in the most high-risk areas.

If there are government-imposed travel restrictions that prevent the away team from entering the home team’s country or returning to their own country, the match may be played at either a neutral country or the away team’s country, according to UEFA’s rules.

Zorc, however, insisted that these rules are not sufficient.

‘Really, we are still missing the legal requirements to be able to play these games at all,’ Zorc told the Frankfurter Allegemine.

‘If we play in a high-risk area on the Wednesday, which will probably be the case in more than half of the major cities involved, then there needs to be some foundations in place so that we can play in the Bundesliga again on Saturday.’

Matches in the Premier League and LaLiga are still being played behind closed doors but some European leagues have had a small number of supporters in stadiums.

Last week’s UEFA Super Cup between Bayern Munich and Sevilla took place in front of 20,000 fans in Budapest, despite there being a relatively high number of infections in the Hungarian capital.

German authorities warned Bayern fans they would be walking into danger, with the Bundesliga side returning two-thirds of their ticket allocation.

Zorc is not convinced it is safe for clubs to play the group-stage matches under the current rising coronavirus rate.

UEFA’s website currently says ‘games are taking place behind closed doors until further notice’ with the Champions League group stage set to run from October 20 to December 9 and the Europa League from October 22 to December 10.

Premier League referees have been given permission to soften their approach when it comes to awarding spot-kicks for handball after a spate of controversial decisions over the first three weekends of the 2020/21 season.

Everton’s penalty decision against Crystal Palace this weekend was just one of a number penalties that were awarded across the division, with Eagles boss Roy Hogdson left fuming.

Officials had been instructed to enforce the letter of the law much more strictly heading into the new campaign, having been told to fall in line with the rest of the top European leagues.

But with fans, players and managers having all spoken out against the harshness of the decisions being made, that has now partly been reversed.

The Premier League have gone to the International Football Association Board (IFAB), football’s lawmaker, asking for permission to judge certain incidents more subjectively.

Decisions will still be made in line with the Laws of the Game, but will now take more common sense into account, including the defender’s arm position when contact with the ball is made.

Referees will now be allowed to assess a player’s proximity to the opponent, so penalties are only likely to be awarded for handball if the arm is out from the body or if the ball has travelled some distance.

The new interpretation of the law will be applied from this weekend’s round of matches, where Liverpool travel to Aston Villa.

Any handball when the player has his arm above the shoulder must still be punished, as this is considered by IFAB to be an automatic offence.

That means the penalties conceded by Tottenham’s Eric Dier against Newcastle United, and by Neal Maupay for Brighton at home to Manchester United, would still have been awarded even had they taken place from this weekend onwards.

Equally, the decision against Robin Koch for Leeds United at Liverpool would remain a penalty, as the ball travelled a distance and the player’s arm was well outside his normal body position.

So don’t worry, there will still be plenty of outrage eliciting comments such as the game’s gone, RIP football etc.

In a telephone interview, the radio announcer asked his guest, a millionaire, *”What made you happiest in life?”*
The millionaire said:
I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness. The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted. Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realized that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long.
Then came the third stage of getting big projects. Like buying a football team, buying a tourist resort, etc. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined. The fourth time a friend of mine asked me to buy a wheelchair for some disabled children.
At a friend’s request, I immediately bought a wheelchair. But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with it. There I give these chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on chairs, moving around and having fun. It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot.
But I felt real joy when I started to leave and one of the kids grabbed my leg. I gently tried to free my legs but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.
I bent down and asked the child: Do you need anything else?
The answer that this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my life completely. This child said: *”I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again”*

After I had cleaned my house and tidied up…
My brother phoned me and said: I am coming to visit, and my wife is with me.
I entered my kitchen to prepare for them whatever I could, But I could not find anything available to serve them.
I went looking for something to serve, but I did not find anything except few oranges.
Therefore, I made two cups of cold juice immediately.
When my brother and his wife entered I was shocked to see her mother who came to visit us for the first time.
So I served the two cups of juice to his wife and her mother, and a cup of plain water I placed in front of my brother, and said to him: I know that you like 7up, he drank a sip and realised that it was water.
And suddenly her mother said :I’m feeling for 7up , please give it to me!
Here I was baffled and caught with embarrassment.
My brother saved me by saying to her: I will bring you a clean glass from the kitchen.
And after a while we heard the sound of a glass breaking, so he came back and told his mother-in-law: sorry, it fell from my hands and the glass broke, …
but no problem I will go to the shop to get another one.
His mother-in-law refused and said: there is no need for that,it was not meant for me.
When they were going out my brother bid me farewell and placed into my hand an amount of money and said: don’t forget to clean the kitchen of the 7up, so that ants do not come.
And he bid me farewell with a smile and love.
And in this way my brother concealed my suffering and shortcoming, and he considered my feelings.
Extend to all too.
When you’re in position, use it to lift others.
Running anyone down will never make you better!
This is a very touching story. Let me throw it to you, how do you treat your siblings, friends, family, etc? Do you cover them or mess them up?
A food for thought…….

“Who Is IPOB To Tell PeopleTo Sit At Home?” – Governor Umahi Blows Hot, Fires at Kanu

“That is the height of craziness on their side. They talk to people as if they are things.

“How can you tell people who have families to sit at home, to do what? Will you come and put food on their table?

“In the first place, we don’t even know if there is anything like IPOB existing in the state. People should disregard the said statement and go about their normal businesses on that day.

“People have fundamental human rights of movement, if you try to restrict their rights to move about and transact their lawful business activities you are crossing the red line.

“If anyone tries to force people to sit at home, the Police will not fail to deal decisively with such persons.”

Fulani Association wrote on Oodua Nation

Oodua Nation wants to stop our life, they want to stop our business, they want to kill our cows etc. We have seen how Amotekun has been arresting our people by creating lies against them.

Even before they started their nonsense agitation on Oodua, we have a countless meetings and phone calls with MURIC led by Ishaq Akintola to speak against it and lead a protest. Ofcouse we read how he did that on newspapers and social media platforms, but our efforts to stop it was to no avail.

Initially I don’t trust Yoruba people whether they are Muslim, Christian or whatever; inasmuch the person is from SouthWest. Perhaps some members of the MURIC from SouthWest kicked against.

I also sent a letter to Malami, IG etc to help stop this wicked souls would will prefer seeing us crying or dieing than to do us good because of our ethnic. All attempts to stop Akeredolu was fruitless before he went ahead to inaugurat that criminal organisation as a target to our business and brothers.

No going back on Oduduwa Republic

-Prof. Banji Akintoye, president, Yoruba World Congress

•Calls for Nigeria’s breakup not treasonable

Eminent scholar and President of Yoruba World Congress, Prof. Banji Akintoye has declared that agitation for self-determination is a legitimate struggle, and not an act of treasonable felony as the federal government wants Nigerians to believe. As such, he vowed that there will be no going back on the renewed push for an Oduduwa Republic for the Yoruba nation, even as he advised against using force or taking any action that may cause harm to those calling for Nigeria’s breakup. He spoke further on this in this interview with TUNDE THOMAS.

On this agitation for Oduduwa Republic, some Nigerians are saying that it is a fluke, and another attempt ……

Cuts in…Those saying that should wait until October 1st to know whether it is real or not. But I want to declare here that nobody should harbour any doubt about the determination of Yoruba for self-determination. There is no going back, and come October 1st, we are going to make a formal declaration about it, and nobody including federal government can stop us. The whole world is already aware of our mission, and there is nothing federal government can do about it because what we are doing is not in any way illegal. It is within our legitimate right to determine whether we want to stay or not in the union called Nigeria. There is no way we can be held against our will if our people have already made up their mind to leave Nigeria. Nigeria is living on borrowed time, and it is just a matter of time before we all go our separate ways. There is no going back, Oduduwa Republic has come to stay. It has become a reality.

There is so much injustice in Nigeria, and it is only here you have this kind of injustice, and oppression. There has been so much Fulani domination, and oppression of other groups in the country, and we can’t continue this way and this is why we feel that the best option for Yoruba is to exercise their right to self-determination. A country where one group is always aspiring to conquer other sections can no longer be called a country. The situation in the country today is so bad that it has gone beyond restructuring, which some people are even calling for. The Fulani people have a hidden agenda, and unfortunately President Muhammadu Buhari is helping the Fulani to actualise their agenda of dominating other Nigerians through his political appointments and general ways he has been running his government, and other Nigerians can no longer fold their hands and continue watching things going on this way. Another annoying thing is that the Fulani in Nigeria are even bringing Fulani from outside Nigeria to participate in the conquest of other Nigerians. This is no longer acceptable. Countries fight wars but when they do so, it is against outsiders, and not against their own people like the Fulani are doing to others in Nigeria. A country where a section is aspiring to conquer other sections can no longer be referred to as a country. The Fulani say Nigeria belongs to them, and that they are going to take lands that belong to other ethnic nationalities, and this is why you have all these invasions taking place in the Middle-Belt, Southern Kaduna, and other parts of the country. The reality of the situation is that we the Yoruba can’t continue to live with another group that believes in the subjugation, and conquest of others.

Will you say this is part of the reasons why the clamour for Biafra, and North-Central Republic has been growing louder?

The Fulani invasion of other parts of the country has destroyed Nigeria, and majority of Nigerians no longer have faith in this country again. This is no longer the Nigeria of the dream of the founding fathers. Since majority of Nigerians no longer have faith in being together again, the best solution is for people to go their different ways but we don’t have to do it in a chaotic manner. The best way to go about it is to generate a process of negotiation, whereby we would sit around the table, and discuss in frank manners so that we won’t be enemies of one another for ever like the situation you have between Israel, and some Arab nations. It must be done in such a way that there will be no bloodshed or loss of lives. Other countries especially in Europe have done it that way, and so there is no reason we can’t do it also. There is nothing strange about Nigeria breaking up, and not only that, I believe the break-up can be done peacefully.

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo recently convened a dialogue with leaders of five socio-cultural groups across the country where he raised the alarm that Nigeria was drifting fast to a failed state. Do you agree with him?

Nigeria is already a failed state, a country in which some citizens of the country are invading other sections, and the federal government couldn’t stop it. If this is happening, and those who are supposed to stop it are not doing so, then in what other way do you refer to Nigeria other than being a failed state?

All the indices point to the fact that Nigeria has not only failed but it is disintegrating, fast. Although I don’t know the time-line but definitely breakup is imminent, and there is nothing anybody can do to stop it. I also want to state categorically here that any attempt to stop agitating for breakup will fail. Already the United Nations, and other members of the international community are aware of what is happening in the country. Any attempt to suppress people expressing their interests to self-determination will fail.

Obviously, the former President is pushing for restructuring, and a new constitution rather than the amendment the National Assembly is working on, is that the way to go?

The National Assembly is not working on any amendment. They are just deceiving Nigerians. This is what they claim to be doing every year, and it has been discovered that this is nothing but deceit. Almost every year the National Assembly claims to be doing this but Nigerians have discovered that they are not being honest so there is nothing to talk about on that. And like I said earlier, Nigeria has even gone beyond restructuring. What we should be talking about now is negotiated break up. That is the only solution to Nigeria’s problems.

For those saying that Obasanjo is a hypocrite for calling for restructuring when he failed to carry it out when he was in power, I will just say that Nigerians should remember that Obasanjo is just a human being, and to err is human. Moreover, what is not clear to him that time may have been clearer to him now. For him to even have the courage to call for restructuring now shows that he is a patriot, and a man of honour. But for me, and some other Nigerians, the situation in the country today has gone beyond restructuring, it is only break up that is the answer. Obasanjo is a citizen of the world whose opinions, and views are taken seriously, so whatever he is saying I will advise those in authority to take him seriously.

Nigerians asked for deregulation of power, and fuel supplies, and now the government is doing that, it seems to be coming out with periodic hike in prices, what do you say about this?

It is very unfortunate. The aim, and objective of governance should be to make life comfortable for citizens but in this clime, it seems to be the other way round. It is unfortunate that Nigerians are being overburdened. This is part of the reason why many are already fed up with the country. It’s sad that most of the policies of the government are making Nigerians to be frustrated, and when you add insecurity to all these, then you can imagine the pains Nigerians are going through.

Opposition and labour leaders are angling for protest over this, do you support their plan?

Although I would have preferred talking about the agitation for Yoruba self-determination, but I believe it is within the democratic rights of those wishing to go on strike to do so. They have the constitutional rights to embark on that course of action. More so when you have a government that appears not to be sensitive to the plight of the citizens, then the labour leaders, and members of the civil societies can rise up to the occasion to be advocates for the masses, especially the poor Nigerians.

There have been recent concerns that Boko Haram is moving gradually towards South with the military confirming their presence around Kogi, and Abuja. How do you see that development, and how do you think Yoruba can protect themselves?

It is a shocking development. But in all this the question you ask is how prepared is government for such an ugly development? To make matters worse, it is not only Boko Haram that we have to contend with now as other terrorist groups from Syria, and Libya have infiltrated Nigeria. You also have the Al-Queda from Iraq in the country now. All these terrorist groups have one aim, and their objective is to use resources of Nigeria to conquer other parts of West Africa. The situation in Nigeria today is dire and we should not deceive ourselves, and Yoruba, and other ethnic nationalities should be prepared to defend their homelands. Anybody or group waiting for government is deceiving himself. You will remember that there was a time General TY Danjuma warned that Nigerians should be prepared to defend themselves, that anybody waiting for government is doing so at his own peril. The federal government is not showing any inclination to defend anybody.

Why has it been difficult for the Armed Forces to defeat Boko Haram?

We should ask those in authority. Every time they keep on boasting that they have defeated Boko Haram, but we keep on seeing Boko Harm getting more ferocious, and deadlier. What we are seeing is the unfortunate situation where Boko Haram is getting stronger and stronger. To checkmate the ugly situation something drastic has to be done. What is the problem with our military? Is it that they are not getting the right equipment, and the logistics? Another factor we also have to consider is the issue of corruption being raised in the military, because we hear of massive corruption taking place within the military which many are saying is affecting not only the performance of the troops but also lowering their morale. Nigerians are tired of excuses, and propaganda but what they want is concrete action being taken to neutralize Boko Haram, and other terrorists who have infiltrated the country.

How effective can you say Operation Amotekun has been?

So far, those in charge across the states have been trying their best to protect the Yoruba homeland from terrorists, and other infiltrators. Although they are taking off slowly but they are demonstrating their resolve to live up to the task of protecting Yoruba from external aggressors. The South-West state governors are in charge, and my appeal to them is that they should do everything possible to give the outfit the support required to make it an effective tool in demonstrating to any external aggressors that the Yoruba have what it takes to defend themselves from external attack without waiting for the federal government.

So much fraud in billions is daily reported from probes into NDDC, Amnesty programme, and the EFCC, what do you make out of all these?

Corruption is the culture of governance, and leadership in Nigeria. It has become part and parcel of our culture. In 2014, when Buhari was campaigning to be elected, he made so much promise to tackle corruption, but today has anything changed? No. Corruption appears to be more thriving, and the situation is not helped by the fact that Buhari himself is not running a transparent government. He appears to be running a government with hidden agenda to promote the interests of one section of the country over others.

Although they’ve set up probe panels on some of these cases but what is going to be the outcome? Nigerians no longer have confidence in the government again. But Nigerians can’t continue this way. My fear for this country is that if we continue this way, Buhari may be Nigeria’s last President. There is a lot of bottled emotions, and anger across the country, and this is why the agitations for self-determination have become stronger today than ever before.

But agitations for self-determination, some have declared, amount to act of treasonable felony, what do you say to that?

It doesn’t, and I don’t agree with those saying so. Even the constitution guarantees freedom of association. It was the amalgamation of 1914 that forcefully brought different nations together. Nigeria is made up of so many nations. Moreover, this is not the first time that people have been calling for breakup of Nigeria if that will bring the desired peace. Notable Nigerians including late Chief Anthony Enahoro, and Prof. Ango Abdullali, the leader of the Northern Elders Forum have publicly done so, without anybody harassing them, and this agitation will continue as long as oppression, and injustice continue to pervade the country.

The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom WIKE has blasted the minister of transportation for not attracting any good thing to the region.

The governor while speaking in P.H the state capital wondered what AMECHI would be remembered for after his tenure as the minister of transportation.

According to him,

Since AMECHI took over as the minister of transportation, he has not attracted any single project to the Eastern region.

The already rail way line that link P.H to ENUGU is nothing to write home about yet AMECHI is proudly using the money gotten from our region to construct rail line to niger republic while we have nothing!.

The federal government is still owing my state over #78b over federal projects I did in my state but instead of Amechi to look back home and at least construct a rail line that would link P.H to Calabar, UYO, Abia, ENUGU, ONITCHA, NNEWI, ASABA, bayelsa back to P.H, he is busy behaving like a child.

With a rail line, it will be easy for our people to go to ariaria, main market to buy their goods as easy as possible.

All the federal roads in South East and south south is nothing to write home about while he is a minister for 5 years now.

Tomorrow he will come to tell us how he love NIGER Delta and igbo Land!.

Shame to him!.

He stated.

The political reason behind Mesut Özil’s retirement from international football!
In 2018, Mesut Özil made the astonishing decision to retire from international football at only 29 years old, following Germany’s catastrophic World Cup campaign, knocked out in the group stages. The German accused the federation of lacking respect for him and worse still, demonstrating racism. Everything was linked to a photo of the former Real Madrid player taken with the controversial Turkish president, Recep Erdogan, for which he was heavily criticized. In a long letter published on his Twitter account, Özil said he was treated differently because of his Turkish origins and also because he’s Muslim.
All forms of racism must be banned, on and off the pitch! 👊

Why I was removed as Governor – AMBODE – Hope For Nigeria

1) I constructed 22 roads in Alimosho and refused to award any of the contracts to Aregbesola and co.

2) I insisted that contracts that had been awarded to party leaders under Fashola must be executed before they can be awarded new contracts under my regime.

3) I wanted to phase out Danfos and Area boys from the streets of Lagos and introduce smarter means of transportation without Area boys and Agberos.

4) I refused to pad the budget with 10% for house of assembly members led by Bayo Osinowo and Mudashir Obasa.

5) I refused to grant the concession of 4th mainland bridge to Tinubu’s Hitech

6) I refused to increase the amount of money being paid from the state revenue to Tinubu through Alpha Beta from 10% to 20%

7) I developed Epe. Epe was never in their master plan.

😎 I refused to support Aregbesola and Bayo Osinowo’s senatorial ambitions because they are not Lagosians.

9) I refused to use Lagos state funds to finance osun elections.

10) I opposed Tinubu’s succession plan, which will see his son Seyi Tinubu becoming the next Governor of Lagos state after me. – Hope For Nigeria

Pep Guardiola has said Manchester City will play ‘mostly players from the academy’ against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.

“We won the Carabao Cup three times in a row and we would like to continue but we don’t have the players, in this period, to play every three days.”

“Now we have a competition that we cannot spend the energy that we spent today, before Leicester, so we’re going to play mostly academy players and try to keep the energy for the PL…”

Carragher tells Grealish and Zaha they’re not good enough for Liverpool

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has told Jack Grealish and Wilfried Zaha they are not good enough to play for his former club.

The Premier League champions have already strengthened their attacking line this summer with the arrival of Diogo Jota from Wolves.

While they could bring Watford goal-hunter Ismaila Sarr into the ranks after his impressive debut season.

But Carragher, who made more than 700 appearances and won a Champions League at Anfield, suggested the Reds should avoid two players in the transfer window.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think Jack [Grealish] is in a position similar to [Wilfried] Zaha at Palace, where the type of money to get him out of the club you are talking £60 or £70 million.

“I don’t think they are quite good enough to play for Liverpool or Manchester City, and teams just below the top four I don’t think they’d want to pay the money to get him.”

The Prostate Gland and its effect on us , (men only).
Read it and apply, esp the part on diet.
Useful for all MEN over-40:

A useful article / talk on Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) or in simple terms, Enlarged Prostate. Diet is the most important part of this talk which is something within our control; and it works.

I am here to speak with you on Prostate. The topic is misleading. Is prostate strictly for men? Yes, ONLY men have prostate and ONLY men over 40 years but the healthcare enlightenment is for everyone. There is no woman who does not know a man 40 years and above, father, uncle, brother, son, friend, neighbour, colleague…

Essentially what I will be doing today is health promotion. Responsible health promotion must provide three things:

1. Information
2. Reassurance
3. A plan of action.

Let me start with a background on prostate health.

Everyone has a pair of kidneys. The job of the kidney is to remove waste. It is the LAWMA (waste management company) of your body. Everyday your blood passes through the kidney several times to be filtered. As the blood is filtered, urine is formed and stored in a temporary storage tank called the urinary bladder.

If there were to be no urinary bladder, as a man walks on the road, urine will be dropping.

Now think of the plumbing work in your house. Think of the urinary bladder as the overhead storage tank. From the storage tank, a good plumber will run pipes to other parts of the house, including the kitchen. God in His wisdom ran pipes from our urinary bladder to the tip of the penis. The pipe is called the urethra. Just below the bladder and surrounding the urethra is a little organ called the prostate gland.

The prostate gland is the size of a walnut and weighs about 20grams. Its job is to make the seminal fluid which is stored in the seminal vesicle. During sexual intercourse, seminal fluid comes down the urethra and mixes with the sperms produced in the testicles to form the semen. So semen technically is not sperm. It is sperm + seminal fluid. The seminal fluid lubricates the sperm.

After age 40, for reasons that may be hormonal, the prostate gland begins to enlarge. From 20 grams it may grow to almost 100 grams. As it enlarges, it squeezes the urethra and the man begins to notice changes in the way he urinates.

If you have a son under 10, if he has a little mischief like we all did at that age, when he comes out to urinate, he can target the ceiling and the jet will hit target. Call his father to do same, wahala dey. His urine stream is weak, cannot travel a long distance and sometimes may come straight down on his legs. So he may need to stand in awkward position to urinate.

Not many men will be worried their urine stream cannot hit the ceiling. Toilets are on the floor and not on the ceiling. But other symptoms begin to show.

The man begins to notice that after urinating and repacking, urine still drops on his pants. This is the reason why after an older man urinates, he has to ring bell. A younger man simply delivers to the last drop and walks away. Just see an older man coming from the bathroom. Sometimes he may clutch the newspaper closely to hide the urine stains, particularly on plain colored trousers.

At this point you wait longer for the urine flow to start. There are 2 valves that must open for you to urinate – the internal and external sphincters. Both open but because of obstructions in the urethra, you wait longer for the flow to start.

You have this feeling immediately after urinating that there is still something left.

As all these things happen, the bladder begins to work harder to compensate for the obstruction in the urethra. The frequency of urination goes up. Urgency sets in. Sometimes you have to practically run into the toilet. Nocturia also becomes common. You wake up more than 2 times at night to urinate. Your wife begins to complain.

Men being men may not talk to anyone even at this point. Then the more serious complications start.

Stored urine gets infected and there may be burning sensation when urinating.

Stored urine forms crystals. Crystals come together to form stone either in the bladder or in the kidney. Stones may block the urethra.

Chronic urinary retention sets in. The bladder stores more and more urine. The size of the bladder is 40 – 60cl. A bottle of coke is 50cl. As the bladder stores more urine it can enlarge up to 300cl. An overfilled bladder may leak and this leads to wetting / urinary incontinence. Also the volume may put pressure on the kidney and may lead to kidney damage.

What may likely bring the man to hospital is acute urinary retention. He wakes up one day and he is not able to pass urine.

Everything I have described above is associated with prostate enlargement, technically called benign prostate hyperplasia.

There are other diseases of the prostate like:

1. Prostatitis – inflammation of the prostate

2. Prostate cancer – cancer of the prostate.

This discussion is on prostate enlargement.

I have bad news and good news.

The bad news is that everyman will have prostate enlargement if he lives long enough.

The good news is that there are life style changes that can help the man after 40 to maintain optimum prostate health.

Look at what you eat. 33% of all cancers, according to the US National Cancer Institute is related to what we eat.
Red meat everyday triples your chances of prostate disease. Milk everyday doubles your risk. Not taking fruits / vegetables daily quadruples your risk.

Tomatoes are very good for men. If that is the only thing your wife can present in the evening, eat it with joy. It has loads of lycopene. Lycopene is the most potent natural antioxidant.
Foods that are rich in zinc are also good for men. We recommend pumpkin seeds (ugbogulu).
Zinc is about the most essential element for male sexuality and fertility.

Men need more zinc than women. Every time a man ejaculates he loses 15mg of zinc. Zinc is also important for alcohol metabolism. Your liver needs zinc to metabolize alcohol.

As men begin to have urinary symptoms associated with prostate enlargement, it is important they look at alcohol consumption. More fluid in means more fluid out.

Drink less. Drink slowly.

Exercise helps build the muscle tone. Every man should exercise. Men over 40 should avoid high impact exercise like jogging. It puts pressure on the knees. Cycling is bad news for the prostate. We recommend brisk walking.

When we sit, two-third of our weight rests on the pelvic bones. Men who sit longer are more prone to prostate symptoms. Do not sit for long hours. Walk around as often as you can. Sit on comfortable chairs. We recommend a divided saddle chair if you must sit long hours.

Men should avoid tight underwear. It impacts circulation around the groin and heats it up a bit. While the physiological temperature is 37 degrees, the groin has an optimal temperature of about 33 degrees. Pant is a no – no for men. Wear boxers. Wear breathable clothing.

Avoid smoking. It affects blood vessels and impact circulation around the groin.

Regular sex is good for the prostate.

Celibates are more pronenn to prostate illness. While celibacy is a moral decision, it is not a biological adaptation. Your prostate gland is designed to empty its contents regularly.

Thought: when someone shared something of value with you and benefit from it. You have a moral obligation to share it with others because someone in your friends list might be saved.

Obaseki celebrates victory, says lions’ve been caged permanently in Edo
22nd September 2020Add Commentby Tosin Omosowon

Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo has said that his re-election in the just concluded governorship election for another four years has finally sent the lions and tigers into the zoo to be caged permanently from Edo politics.

READ ALSO: APC congratulates Obaseki, says Edo election represents true democracy

Daily Times Nigeria gathered that Obaseki disclosed this on Monday in Benin while addressing a crowd of PDP supporters at the popular Kings square shortly after a victory match round the Benin Metropolis.

The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy Gov. Philip Shaibu, Chairman Edo PDP Campaign Council, Dan Orbih, House of Rep. Member, Ogbeide Ihama, among others.

According to him, the message of Saturday’s governorship election means I should go and work for Edo people. It is clear, the Edo people have spoken loud and clear.

“You have helped me caged the lions and tigers in the State, you will never see them again in Edo because they are all in the zoo now where they belong.

“Today, I promise you that we will work for Edo people because no one will hinder us from delivering the dividend of democracy to Edo people.

“My Deputy, Philip Shaibu, and I will go back to the office and work for Edo people. I want to thank everyone residing in the state; you spoke and we have heard you and ready to ever work for you.

“The next four years in the state will be the one that all citizens will live to remember as we will consolidate on our developmental achievements in the State. Thank you all,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of Edo PDP Campaign Council, Mr Dan Orbih, said that the victory had shown that Edo people rejected godfatherism, money bag politics and given the mandate for development of the State.

“With your support and votes you have started a new dawn in Edo Politics, Nigeria’s democracy and by extension that the State will never remain the same again as Obaseki’s re-election has ended godfatherism in the State.

“Obaseki’s re-election has shown that Edo people are wiser, and the state is in the path of development as the people have spoken loudly and have finally silenced godfatherism in Edo Politics,” he said.

Virgil van Dijk: I told Fabinho he was my Man of the Match

Virgil van Dijk hailed what he considered a Man of the Match display by Fabinho after the Brazilian deputised at centre-back against Chelsea.

With Joe Gomez and Joel Matip ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge, Fabinho dropped into central defence alongside Van Dijk.

He turned in a typically composed performance to help the Reds on their way to a 2-0 victory over the Blues – and Van Dijk paid tribute to his teammate post-match.

“Outstanding,” the Dutchman told of Fabinho, who topped his side’s totals for tackles (four), interceptions (four) and possession gains (12) on the day.

“I just told him as well I think he was Man of the Match. To keep out a striker like [Timo] Werner and don’t let him score, overall he was outstanding.

“Everyone knows how good he is but it shows also that we need everyone. We are a bit unlucky with the injuries now but we’ll need everyone back because it’s such a long season.”

Thiago Alcantara just broke the Premier League record for most passes (75) in 45 mins played…on his DEBUT 🤯

What a signing 👏

Senate Minority Caucus Hail Obaseki Victory

……Says PDP’s Victory Finally Buries Godfatherism

The Senate Minority Caucus congratulates Governor Godwin Obaseki over his resounding victory in the governorship election in Edo State.

In a statement in Abuja by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the Caucus says as sweet as the victory, it also signals a new dawn and the ultimate end of Godfatherism in Nigeria politics.

Senator Abaribe who also hailed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for it’s tenacity and resilience in the face of manifest intimidations, said the victory further confirmed that power ultimately belongs to the people and not to some fanthom individuals who think they can play God and toy with the will and wishes of the people.

“Going forward, I believe that the Edo people through their overwhelming endorsement of Governor Obaseki and PDP sent the right signal accross, affirming that never again should any political party succumb to the undemocratic machination of some few, who like to play tin-god because of their supposedly rich pocket.

“This victory is a soothing balm not only for Edo people, but also for the entire country especially against the backdrop of the excruciating sufferings and hardship foisted on the people by the All Progressive Congress (APC) led federal government’, said Abaribe.

However, the Caucus he said congratulates Governor Obaseki, the PDP family and urge the people of Ondo State to be ready to replicate what has happened in Edo State so that Nigeria will be returned to genuine and people oriented democracy.

BREAKING: Liverpool FC complete signing of Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool Football Club have completed a deal for the permanent transfer of Thiago Alcantara from FC Bayern Munich.

The Spain international midfielder has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds and becomes the club’s second signing of the transfer window, following Kostas Tsimikas in August.

Moments after sealing the move, Thiago told “I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very, very happy to be here.

“When the years are passing, you are trying to win as much as you can – and when you win, you want to win more. I think this club describes what I am as well; I want to achieve all of the goals, win as many trophies as possible.

“It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well.”

Thiago moves to Anfield fresh from helping Bayern clinch a prestigious treble as they won the Bundesliga, German cup and Champions League in 2019-20, during which he featured 40 times.

The 29-year-old, who also has 39 caps for Spain, spent seven seasons at the Allianz Arena having transferred to Germany from FC Barcelona, where he began his career.

In total, Thiago has won nine league titles, two Champions Leagues and two FIFA Club World Cups with his respective previous teams.

He added: “I must adapt to the team as fast as I can in the situation and the context that we are living right now.

“Everything is more compact and we started a little bit later, but still it is football and I think we have to mix all the big things up, all the good things we have. I will help the team in a defensive and offensive [way] and also in a mental aspect.

“[The fans] are not more excited than I am, for sure not! It is not about saying words, it is about doing the things. I will give my heart on the field to my teammates, the club and also to the fans.”

Klopp on Thiago: “Hansi Flick is a successful man and nice person but nothing to say. It’s not official until it is announced. Looks quite promising! (laughing). Hands are tied. Quite useful as a fan to look at some LFC channels over the day and we will see what happens.

“If it happens then I can say it will have no impact on anyone’s future in a negative way. It doesn’t mean that someone needs to leave.”
For all Liverpool supporters it would be useful to look at the LFC channels today and we will see what happens! Last season we played Chelsea often and it was always difficult. Last game v Brighton, you have to be decisive in key moments and that was the story of the game.”No-one has to be sold because of Thiago deal.
“Bundesliga is a tough league, Germany is a football country if you want. Years ago, it was agreed they made some good decisions with talent, scouting, building academies. I was part of the process there. It helped. You cannot get the benefit of those decisions next day.”
We don’t know a lot about Chelsea at the moment. We are very early in the season. We’ve had an intense week and worked on decisive stuff. Some things were good [v Leeds] some not so good but only game 1, we don’t make it a bigger deal.”The PL is the league with the most money and most competitive so they get interested in these German players and a move to England is natural.”
Bundesliga has seemingly become a talent hub for the Premier League. “because they are good players” and Havertz and Werner are outstanding young players. “It’s a good league for England to scout”If we stay in all the competitions, it will be tough all year. My first concern is always player welfare, that’s why I wasn’t happy with not sticking with 20+5 (subs). We will all discover how difficult it will be in the next few weeks.
We just play consistent and competitive football last season and that is what we have to do again. We adapted to different opponents but we never really changed. In the end, you need to work for these numbers of 14 away wins from 19. Incredible. We drew 3 lost 2.”All these things [about Thiago], I can answer after it is announced or not. Hypothetical ways…we have to wait a bit. We are all used to it. Nothing to say. Press conference for Chelsea game, I respect questions on that.”
Intense week, one or two little things but should be okay. Nobody is coming back and the rest we will see. Everything seems okay.
I didn’t think last season [about away record]. It is different because of atmosphere in our stadium, usually, but we have different ways to play. We scored 2 wonderful goals v Chelsea last season but it was a proper fight and we have to be ready. Let’s go for it.”
